I’ve been kicking around the idea of a blog for quite some time now… like literally for years. It’s time I did something about that and this new season of my life is the perfect timing.
Though I’m only 64 years old, I feel like I’ve lived many more years’ worth of life than that… people, places, experiences, ministries, careers, family, sorrows, joys… all of it. And if 64 sounds plenty old to you, just wait til you get here. Your perspective just might change.
Well, today I begin. In a season that feels very much like a new start in some ways and a continuation of something that got temporarily shelved for a while in others, I’ve decided that it’s time to add commentary to life. Even if it’s just for me. But I want to share it with you in case there is anything about my journey that will help you on yours.
I may write every week… I may write once a month… I may only write when I feel inspired and compelled. It may be deep and profound… it may be ridiculous and silly… it may even be miffed and frustrated at times. But I’m just going to let it be what it is with no theme or expectation of myself, except to make it something I hope is worth reading.
So here I go… here we go. Because you’re invited to join me on this adventure and together we will just see what emerges. I pray it will all be good… helpful… encouraging… uplifting… thought provoking… enlightening… sobering… even hilarious… all the things.
